The intention of this project is to let the audience know how common objects are being used beyond their intended purposes by girls in other countries to manage their period. To help, Toms' is bringing their One to One Model to the store to bring the products you buy to girls in other countries who don't have access to them. Not all girls in developing countries have access to pads/tampons and often have to use unsanitary materials to replace normal sanitary female hygiene products. Girls might use a variety of materials such as leaves, rags, and even newspaper to manage their period. Using these kind of materials puts their health at risk. In India, 70% of all reproductive related diseases are linked to menstrual hygiene.
